KIP & CAF Projects

Copyright Materials Digitization

Background: AU has thousands of copyright agreements in place that relate to AU course materials.

Purpose: Streamline copyright management at AU by digitizing a minimum of 200,000 copyright document pages in a format that can be stored in a database.

Status: This project was successfully completed on March 31, 2011. Over 430,000 pages of copyright documents related to course materials were digitized so they can be accessed through a database. This is well beyond the original project goal of digitizing 200,000 pages.

Connections to other KIP and CAF projects: The digitized copyright documents are stored and managed in a database that has been developed through the KIP-funded Copyright Management System project.
