KIP & CAF Projects

Showcase Courses

Purpose: Engage and motivate students by developing learning enhancements that increase the usability, interactivity, accessibility, and learning efficacy of at least 10 of AU’s high-enrolment online courses across all faculties.

Develop reusable learning enhancements and other sustainable resources for expanding work in this area after the project ends.

Background: Learning enhancements can be a variety of things. For example, they include interactive learning objects such as a crossword puzzle with audio clues and online multimedia resources such as a video file. The common denominator among all learning enhancements is that they help students achieve learning outcomes for courses.
Status: This project was successfully completed on March 31, 2011. A total of 25 subprojects developed interactive, multimedia learning resources—for example, learning trees and multiple choice exercises incorporating audio and animations—for 17 of AU's highest-enrolment online courses.
